Blanchard Springs offers Wild Cave Tour

     Do you have an adventurous person on your gift list?  You might consider giving him or her an unforgettable present - a gift certificate for the Wild Cave Tour at Blanchard Springs Caverns.

     "Since the first Wild Cave Tours began back in 2000, we have had the tour gifted for Christmas, weddings, anniversaries and birthdays," said Caverns Administrator Bob Reeves.  "Now we have a certificate that can be put into a card, framed or wrapped."

     The certificate can be personalized for the recipient and is good for one year from the purchase date.

     Participants for the Wild Cave Tour must be at least 10 years of age, and 10 to 12 years old, must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

     Participants must be in good physical shape, because the tour involves climbing, crawling and sliding over rocks and clay.

     The Wild Cave Tour takes at least four hours, so participants may want to bring water, cameras and snack-type food.  They also will need long pants, sturdy boots with ankle support and an extra pair of shoes to change into after the tour.

     "Folks should remember that we need at least three people signed up for a Wild Cave Tour," Reeves added.  "If you have three people ready to go, you can pick your date.  If there's one or two people, they may want to choose a variety of dates so that we can match them with other people."

     The Wild Cave Tour is by reservation only.

     It is $65.00 per person, which includes a $25.00 non-refundable deposit.
